When we started the Qalam Institute project, one of the aims we had was to develop an infrastructure within DFW to support academic learning of Islam. While our primary focus is our seminars, now and then we are afforded the opportunity to help integrate into national programs as well. Br. Nouman presented the Quran in a way I almost never heard – a HUMAN form. By human, I mean that it can be related to MY life, MY experiences, MY interactions, and so much more. My experience learning the various literary aspects of the Qur’aan on this minimal scale not only gave me a higher level of yaqeen (certainty), but also helped me develop an immense appreciation, love, respect and admiration for the Kalam of Allah (swt).
