The first day of fasting will be tomorrow Wednesday August 11, 2010 inshaAllah. Tarawih will be starting Tuesday August 10th at 9:30pm inshaAllah. We look forward to seeing you here.

Ramadan will begin on August 10th or 11th, we will post the official announcement once the decision is made.

We are taking sponsorships for the community iftars. If you would like to sponsor one, please see Br. Nadim or Br. Idrees at the masjid. Sponsorship rates are,

Eid Mubarak! Prayer and Parking Info

Alhamdulillah based upon confirmed local sightings, Eid is officially announced for Sunday September 20th.

Prayer will be held at 9am at the masjid. There will be only one jamat, so please make sure you are on time.

Important Parking Information

Do NOT park in the masjid parking lot unless you are prepared to stay for some time after salah is completed. Cars inside the masjid lot WILL be double parked. If you are on a tight schedule or need to leave at a specific time, please park next door in the dentist office, across the street at the chiropractor office, or in the neighborhoods nearby (making sure not to block anyone’s driveway).

Qalam Institute: Believer Meter Class Recordings

Alhamdulillah our 3rd Qalam Institute seminar was held on July 25th at Plano Masjid with Imam AbdulNasir Jangda, Imam Yaseen Sheikh, and Imam Nadim Bashir.

The seminar covers select passages of the Qur’an that focus on the characteristics of the believers, such as the beginning of Surah Mu’minoon and the end of Surah al-Furqaan.

Qalam Institute: Believer Meter Course on July 25th

Qalam Institute will be holding it’s first class at the Plano Masjid on July 25th insha’Allah. One of the original goals of Qalam was to begin uniting the Metroplex around knowledge and insha’Allah we hope to get the community gathered for the Believer Meter class on July 25th – 11am to 6pm in Plano.

This class will be taught by Imam Yaseen (Plano), Imam Nadim (Arlington), and Imam Nasir (Colleyville).

The course will cover the characteristics of the believers found in the Qur’an and will focus on select passages highlighting these.

As always, the class is free, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Come and learn in a professional manner from our local scholars and meet many new families at the same time.
